LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

At Aurora House, we acknowledge that our work takes place on the treaty lands and traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We honour their enduring legacy, along with the many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples who continue to call this land home.

We also recognize that Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people are disproportionately impacted by violence, trafficking, and systemic harm in Canada, and are overrepresented in the work we do. As treaty people, we acknowledge our shared responsibility to listen, learn, and work toward safety, dignity, and justice for all communities.

Aurora House is a transitional housing program operated by MNLC (Mennonite New Life Centre of Toronto).
